Shaan Shahid critiques Humayun Saeed and Fahad Mustafa for “not wanting to challenge their craft”

Veteran actor Shaan Shahid, speaking during a recent interview, said that fellow stars Humayun Saeed and Fahad Mustafa tend to remain within their “comfort zones” rather than pushing creative boundaries. Shahid acknowledged that both actors are successful, but they prefer familiar formulas over experimentation.

He remarked that while collaboration is always a learning opportunity, some leading actors operate within what he described as their own “world,” avoiding risks that could challenge their craft. He believed that the Pakistani film industry prioritises commercial success over meaningful storytelling.

Shahid also pointed out that increasing film budgets have not necessarily translated into better content, adding that cinema has become more about numbers than artistic value. He highlighted his own film Bullah as an example of how strong storytelling can succeed without massive spending.
