Saudi Arabia has introduced a one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa, offering greater flexibility for eligible international pilgrims by allowing them to perform Umrah multiple times within 12 months.

The new visa initiative is part of the Kingdom’s broader efforts to improve the pilgrimage experience while supporting its Vision 2030 strategy to expand religious tourism and welcome more international visitors. Unlike the previous single-entry arrangement, the new visa enables travellers to make repeated visits without applying for a new visa each time. This is expected to benefit frequent pilgrims as well as those combining religious travel with business or leisure trips.

According to Saudi authorities, the multiple-entry visa also allows visitors to explore destinations across the Kingdom in addition to performing Umrah, contributing to the country’s growing tourism sector. Officials say the move is aimed at simplifying travel procedures, enhancing visitor convenience and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading global destination for religious tourism.

The announcement follows a series of reforms introduced in recent years, including expanded e-visa services, improved digital platforms, and infrastructure upgrades designed to accommodate a rising number of pilgrims.

Saudi Arabia continues to invest heavily in modernising pilgrimage services and expanding capacity at the Two Holy Mosques, with the goal of making religious travel more accessible, efficient, and comfortable for millions of Muslims worldwide.
