Kurram: Seven militants were killed and six Pakistani soldiers, including a captain, embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation by security forces in the Dogar area of Kurram district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces launched the operation on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of Indian-sponsored militants in the area.
ISPR stated that during a fierce exchange of fire, seven militants were neutralized due to the timely and effective response of Pakistani troops.
However, six valiant soldiers, including Captain Noman Saleem, were martyred while fighting bravely on the front lines. The martyred soldiers include Havaldar Amjad Ali, Naik Waqas Ahmed, Sepoy Ijaz Ali, Sepoy Muhammad Walid, and Sepoy Muhammad Shahbaz.
ISPR highlighted that Captain Noman Saleem, a courageous young medical officer, continued providing medical assistance to his comrades under heavy fire and embraced martyrdom while performing his duty.
A clearance operation is still underway in the region to locate and eliminate remaining Indian-backed militants.
ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain resolute in their mission to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country, vowing that such sacrifices will not go in vain.
