Khawar Maneka, Son Acquitted in Cemetery Land Encroachment Case; Arrest Order for Another Son

A special anti-corruption court in Sahiwal has acquitted Khawar Farid Maneka and his son Musa Maneka in a long-running cemetery land encroachment case, while ordering the arrest of his other son, Ibrahim Maneka, who was declared a fugitive.

The verdict was announced by Special Judge Anti-Corruption Sahiwal, Masoodul Hassan, in connection with allegations related to the encroachment of land belonging to the Haveli Lakha Cemetery in the Okara district. The case had been under investigation for several years and attracted public attention due to the high-profile individuals involved.

During the court proceedings, Khawar Farid Maneka and Musa Maneka appeared before the court and were subsequently acquitted after the judge reviewed the evidence and arguments presented by both sides. However, Ibrahim Maneka, who was not present during the proceedings, was declared a proclaimed offender. The court directed authorities to arrest him and ensure his appearance before the law.

The case was originally registered by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) in Okara, approximately three years ago. Investigators had alleged irregularities and illegal occupation of land associated with the Haveli Lakha Cemetery, prompting legal action against the accused.

With the latest verdict, legal proceedings against Khawar Farid Maneka and Musa Maneka have concluded, while authorities are expected to continue efforts to locate and arrest Ibrahim Maneka in accordance with the court’s orders.
