Gaza: Israeli fighter jets carried out fresh airstrikes in Gaza following direct orders from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, targeting several areas including a site near the Al-Shifa Hospital.
According to international news agencies, explosions were heard across northern Gaza as multiple airstrikes hit densely populated areas. One missile reportedly struck just behind Al-Shifa Hospital, sparking chaos and panic among patients and medical staff.
Witnesses described the bombing as massive and terrifying, saying the hospital building shook violently during the attack. Several ambulances rushed to the scene as emergency crews tried to manage the growing number of casualties.
Al Jazeera reported that the Israeli army struck multiple locations in Gaza City within minutes of each other. The attacks came shortly after Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered “immediate and severe” military action in response to what Israel claimed was a violation of the ceasefire agreement by Hamas.
Medical sources in Gaza warned that hospitals, already overwhelmed and short on supplies, are now struggling to cope with the influx of injured civilians following the latest strikes.
This escalation marks yet another setback to the fragile peace efforts in the region, raising fears of renewed large-scale conflict.
