Global K-pop sensation BTS has officially announced their long-awaited fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, set for release on March 20, 2026, marking their first major group project in nearly four years. The title pays homage to “Arirang”, Korea’s most beloved traditional folk song—a cultural symbol of resilience, longing, love, and hope that has endured for centuries and even served as a unifying hymn during historic struggles.

BigHit Music says the album reflects BTS’s roots, identity, and deep emotions, capturing universal themes that resonate with fans worldwide. ARIRANG will feature 14 tracks and be available in multiple formats, including vinyl and special editions, alongside a huge accompanying 2026-27 world tour with 79 shows across Asia, the Americas, Europe, and Australia.
The choice of such a culturally rich title highlights BTS’s intent to celebrate Korean heritage even as they remain one of the biggest global music acts.
