The government is reportedly considering transferring Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), from Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, a move driven by increasing unrest and regular protests by his supporters outside the jail.

Authorities cite logistical and security concerns, stating that frequent gatherings and visits have disrupted routine operations and affected the welfare of other inmates.
While officials argue the relocation would restore stability and proper prison functioning, critics view it as a tactic to curb political pressure and isolate the jailed leader. The possibility of shifting him to a high-security facility in another province remains under consideration.
