Norway has secured a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, ending a 27-year absence since their last appearance in 1998.

The qualifying campaign was masterful: Norway won all eight matches, finishing six points ahead of four-time champions Italy. The defining moment came in Milan, where Erling Haaland scored twice in quick succession to sink Italy 4–1 at San Siro — a performance that sealed Norway’s return.
Alongside other stars like Martin Ødegaard and Alexander Sørloth, Haaland has helped elevate Norway into a new era of footballing ambition.
Under manager Ståle Solbakken, the team has found a strong identity built on attacking flair, disciplined defence, and unity. With this qualification, Norway isn’t just back — they’re buzzing with belief for the tournament in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
