Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is preparing to meet the chief executives of major global retail giants, including Amazon, Alibaba, and Walmart, as part of Pakistan’s efforts to attract foreign investment.

At a high-level meeting in Islamabad, senior officials—such as Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, National Food Security Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain, and Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar Khan—finalised the list of top 20 company leaders for the prime minister’s upcoming engagement.
The discussions will focus on aligning trade policies with global standards, boosting agricultural productivity through technology, and creating a more stable investment environment.
Government officials believe this interaction could be a “game-changer” for Pakistan’s economy, underscoring the country’s strategic significance and its potential as a major destination for foreign capital.
