70-Million-Year-Old Dinosaur Egg Found in Argentina in Perfect ConditionScientists in Argentina have discovered a perfectly preserved dinosaur egg believed to be around 70 million years old, stunning the global scientific community.
The egg was unearthed in the Rio Negro area of Patagonia, a region already known for yielding ancient fossils. What makes this discovery exceptional is the egg’s remarkable condition, which appears almost identical to that of a modern ostrich egg.
Experts believe it may belong to a small carnivorous dinosaur, a species whose fossils are rarely found in such complete form.Gonzalo Muñoz from the Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences said, “This is a complete egg, and that in itself is extraordinary. We suspect it may contain preserved material inside.”The egg, along with other items discovered at the site, has been transported to the Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences for detailed research.
Scientists plan to conduct CT scans to determine whether the egg contains any fossilized remains. If traces of a dinosaur embryo are detected, researchers say it could mark a historic breakthrough in South American paleontology, offering new insight into dinosaur reproduction and evolution
