ANF Targets Drug Smuggling Near Educational Institutions, Arrests 7 in Nationwide Raids

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted a series of operations targeting drug smuggling in and around educational institutions and various cities across Pakistan, resulting in the arrest of seven suspects, including a woman. The operations led to the seizure of 55.678 kilograms of narcotics valued at over Rs. 90.17 lakh.

In one operation near a university on Japan Road, Islamabad, authorities recovered 45 narcotic pills from a suspect who confessed to selling drugs to students at educational institutions.

In another raid near the Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza, two suspects, including a woman, were apprehended with 850 grams of crystal methamphetamine (ice) and 2.4 kilograms of suspicious powder.

On Northern Bypass Road, Karachi, a vehicle was intercepted, yielding 25.2 kilograms of hashish, with three suspects arrested.

Additionally, near Mansoora on Multan Road, Lahore, a rickshaw was found carrying 19.2 kilograms of opium, 2 kilograms of heroin, and 6 kilograms of hashish, leading to the arrest of one suspect.

Cases have been registered against all arrested individuals under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are underway to dismantle the drug trafficking networks.
