All three major airports of Pakistan—Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore—anticipate the installation of e-gates. Experts from Germany have visited Pakistan and finalized the basic design for these modern e-gates, marking a step toward Pakistan’s more innovative future.
According to a spokesperson for the Pakistan Airports Authority, the installation of these e-gates will allow passengers to clear immigration swiftly through an automated system. This initiative is part of Pakistan’s broader efforts to bring its airports up to international standards.
During the visit, German experts also conducted three-day workshops in Karachi, engaging in consultations with various stakeholders.
This project aims to provide a secure, scalable, and technologically advanced solution for Pakistan’s major airports.
The spokesperson confirmed that the consultants are performing their work satisfactorily as per the agreement.
