The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the University of Karachi has significantly increased monthly scholarships for its MPhil and PhD students. PhD scholarships will now be Rs 70,000 per month, raised from the previous Rs 50,000, and MPhil scholarships are Rs 30,000 per month, which were previously Rs 20,000.
This decision was made at a recent faculty meeting chaired by ICCBS Director Professor Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah. Dr. Shah emphasized that ICCBS is among the few institutions in Pakistan offering scholarships to all its MPhil and PhD students, and these enhanced stipends, along with modern research facilities, aim to produce quality research and cultivate talent.
ICCBS has also announced admissions for its internationally recognized MPhil and PhD programs for the academic year 2025. Interested candidates can download the prospectus and fee voucher from the University of Karachi and ICCBS websites. A non-refundable processing fee of Rs 8,000 must be submitted at any Bank Alfalah branch. Application forms, along with required documents and the paid fee voucher, are to be submitted to the ICCBS Academic Coordination Office between June 23 and July 7, 2025.
