11 Militants Killed in Security Operations Across KP and Balochistan

Security forces have killed 11 militants in separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to state media and security sources.

Five militants were reported killed during an intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan, where security forces targeted and destroyed suspected militant hideouts. Authorities said weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the site.

In a separate operation in Balochistan, six militants were reportedly killed in the Gorander and Mashkel areas. According to security sources cited by state media, militants opened fire on a security checkpost in Mashkel before attempting to flee. Security forces responded and killed the fleeing attackers.

State media described the operations as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts under the government’s Azm-i-Istehkam framework.

The latest operations come amid continued security challenges in both provinces. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have witnessed a series of militant attacks and security operations in recent weeks.

Authorities said security forces remain focused on countering militant activity and maintaining security in affected areas.
