Imran Khan’s Sister Noreen Niazi Allowed to Meet Him at Adiala Jail

RAWALPINDI: Noreen Niazi, sister of incarcerated former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, has been allowed to meet him at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, according to reports.

Noreen had arrived at the prison to see her brother amid continued restrictions on meetings between Imran Khan and his family members and party leaders. The issue of access to the former premier has repeatedly triggered criticism from the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), which has accused authorities of preventing his relatives and legal team from meeting him.

Imran Khan has been incarcerated at Adiala Jail while serving sentences in several cases. His sisters have made repeated attempts to meet him, with prison authorities denying access on several occasions. The PTI has previously described such restrictions as a violation of the former prime minister’s rights.

Under an Islamabad High Court order, meetings with Imran Khan were permitted twice a week, although disputes over its implementation have continued.

Noreen’s meeting comes amid ongoing political tensions surrounding Imran Khan’s imprisonment and continued demands from PTI leaders and supporters for greater access to him.
