Adiala Jail authorities have informed the Supreme Court that former prime minister Imran Khan’s vision has now improved significantly and is “almost normal,” following concerns raised over his eyesight.

The development was shared during a Supreme Court hearing concerning the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder’s health and medical treatment in prison. Jail officials provided the court with an update on his condition and said his vision had improved from earlier concerns.
The issue of Imran Khan’s eyesight had previously become a matter of political and legal debate, with his family and party representatives expressing concerns about his deteriorating vision and seeking appropriate medical treatment.
The former prime minister has been incarcerated at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi since August 2023 and is serving sentences in multiple cases.
The latest update comes after earlier reports that Imran had complained about vision problems. His sisters and PTI leaders had urged authorities to ensure that he received proper medical assessment and treatment.
The Supreme Court’s proceedings are being closely watched by PTI supporters amid continued concerns over Imran Khan’s health and conditions in prison.
Jail authorities’ latest statement is likely to ease some concerns surrounding his eyesight, although questions over his broader health and access to medical care remain a subject of political and legal discussion.
