Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that any conflict involving the United States will only come to an end when Iran achieves a position of strength, either through military success or diplomatic negotiations.

Speaking in an interview with an Iranian news agency, Araghchi stressed that political leaders must continuously assess whether continuing a conflict serves national interests or whether the costs outweigh the potential benefits. He noted that decisions related to war and peace should be based on careful calculations rather than emotional reactions.

According to the Iranian foreign minister, despite suffering certain losses, Iran has emerged from the recent confrontation as an influential international player. He argued that the conflict demonstrated the resilience and stability of Iran’s political system, highlighting the country’s ability to withstand external pressure.

Araghchi further stated that negotiations are most effective when a country has already secured tangible military and strategic gains on the ground. He emphasized that governments cannot afford to take unnecessary risks when the lives of citizens and the future of the nation are at stake.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington has made several attempts to engage Iran in negotiations and will continue pursuing diplomatic efforts.

The latest remarks reflect the contrasting positions of Tehran and Washington as both sides continue to balance military considerations with the possibility of renewed dialogue.
