Former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has confirmed that he has legally filed for divorce from his wife, Sania Ashfaq, bringing an end to their marriage after more than six years together. Wasim shared the announcement on Instagram, stating that the decision followed “repeated conflicts that could not be resolved over the past few years” and was made after careful consideration.

 

In his statement, the 37-year-old cricketer requested that the public and media respect their privacy, refrain from sharing old photos of the couple, and refrain from referring to Sania as his spouse going forward. Wasim also warned against false narratives and said any defamatory attempts would be dealt with legally.

Despite the separation, Imad emphasised that he will continue to care responsibly for their children and thanked fans for their understanding and respect during this difficult time.
