India Allows Pakistani Humanitarian Overflights to Aid Flood-Hit Sri Lanka

The government of India has granted permission to Pakistan for humanitarian overflights through its airspace to deliver aid to Sri Lanka, which is reeling under devastating floods and landslides caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

According to diplomatic sources, the approval came after an urgent request from Pakistan’s Foreign Office, clearing the path for Pakistani relief flights to begin operations as early as tomorrow.

The aid mission will help transport essential supplies and support relief efforts for the thousands displaced, injured, or stranded following the cyclone. The gesture has been hailed as a significant act of regional solidarity amid growing humanitarian needs in Sri Lanka.
