PM Sharif Pays Tribute to Kashmiri Martyrs on July 13

On the occasion of Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, observed annually on July 13, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the 22 Kashmiris who laid down their lives on July 13, 1931, while protesting against the oppressive Dogra forces in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a heartfelt message issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister emphasized the day as a powerful reminder of the Kashmiri people’s resilience, resistance against brutal forces, and unwavering resolve in their struggle for freedom and human rights.

The Prime Minister highlighted the enduring sacrifices of the Kashmiri people in their legitimate fight for self-determination, a struggle that has persisted throughout decades of Indian occupation. He saluted the bravery and determination of all Kashmiri martyrs who have given their lives for the cause, emphasizing that their sacrifices continue to inspire the pursuit of justice.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast commitment, PM Sharif reiterated the government’s political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Muslims of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He emphasized Pakistan’s resolve to advocate for the resolution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with United Nations resolutions, upholding the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
