Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Sherry Rehman has called on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to investigate what she described as “growing support from India for terrorist groups operating internationally”, saying “the fingerprints are piling up.” Her remarks came in response to global media narratives following the deadly Bondi Beach terror attack in Sydney, where initial speculation linked the suspects to Pakistan.

Rehman stressed that the focus should remain on combating terrorism rather than identity politics or misinformation that could fuel prejudice. She also highlighted that while suspects were tied to a Muslim background, another Muslim immigrant was hailed as a hero for disarming the attacker, reinforcing her plea for fairness in international investigations.
