Bollywood music composer Abu Malik has sparked a fresh controversy after accusing superstar Akshay Kumar and his wife, writer-actress Twinkle Khanna, of abandoning the people who helped shape their early careers. In a detailed interview, Malik claimed that both Akshay and Twinkle “prefer ambition over loyalty,” alleging that they ignored long-standing professional connections once fame arrived.

He pointed out that Akshay Kumar has delivered nine box-office flops in the last four years, which he believes reflects the actor’s increasing disconnect from the people and values that once grounded his journey. Malik further revealed that in 2017, while collecting celebrity quotations for his book, Twinkle Khanna declined his request, despite many other major figures responding immediately.
Malik also mentioned Akshay’s former secretary, Vikas Bali, claiming the actor slowly distanced himself from Bali despite his years of loyalty. According to Malik, Bali remained “deeply hurt and heartbroken” until his final days.
These bold statements have reignited debates within Bollywood about celebrity conduct, gratitude, and the industry’s long-standing culture of selective relationships.
