White House Debunks Claims of Trump’s September Visit to Pakistan

The White House has categorically dismissed media reports suggesting that U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Pakistan in September 2025, clarifying that no such plans exist. The statement, issued late Thursday, counters widespread speculation in Pakistani media about a potential visit on September 18, which was acclaimed as a historic opportunity to strengthen U.S.-Pakistan relations.

According to White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre, “President Trump currently has no plans or schedule for a visit to Pakistan.” The denial addresses claims by outlets like Daily Pakistan and Geo News, which had reported that Trump would travel to Islamabad as part of a South Asian tour, including India and China, to discuss bilateral ties, regional security, and the Afghanistan situation. The reports suggested Trump would meet Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, marking the first U.S. presidential visit since George W. Bush in 2006.
