Pakistan Crushes India 3-0 to Reach Asian U16 Volleyball Championship Final

Pakistan’s U16 men’s volleyball team crushed archrivals India 3-0 in the semifinals of the 2nd Asian Men’s U16 Volleyball Championship in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, on July 18, 2025. The straight-sets victory, with scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-12, secured Pakistan’s place in the final against Iran and marked their sixth consecutive win in the tournament. With this triumph, Pakistan not only continues its dream run but also solidifies its status as a rising powerhouse in Asian youth volleyball.

Pakistan’s junior team showcased their dominance from the opening serve, overwhelming India with aggressive net play, precise serves, and disciplined defense. Key performers Muhammad Junaid, Faizanullah, Muhammad Irfan, and Talha Maher led the charge, with Junaid and Faizan delivering standout attacking plays.

The Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) praised the team’s “stellar performances,” noting their composure and tactical excellence in dismantling a competitive Indian side. The match, which lasted just over an hour, underscored Pakistan’s unbeaten streak and their ability to maintain momentum against high-caliber opponents.

The victory over India was particularly significant, given the historic rivalry between the two nations, and it sent a strong message ahead of the final, where they will face Iran on July 19 at 3:30 pm PKT.
