Faqir Muhammad Lakho, Chairman of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi, has been unanimously appointed as the Chairman of the Sindh Boards Committee of Chairmen (SBCC) for a term extending until December 31, 2025. The decision was announced through a notification issued by the Inter-Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) following a meeting of all Sindh educational boards on July 8, 2025.

The appointment was made through a consensus agreement, establishing a rotational system where the SBCC chairmanship will be assigned annually among Sindh’s educational boards to ensure equal representation. This move has been widely welcomed by educational circles across Sindh, with expectations that Lakho’s leadership will strengthen coordination and collaboration among the province’s educational boards.
