The Pakistani entertainment industry is mourning the tragic loss of actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali, whose decomposed body was discovered in her rented apartment in Karachi’s upscale Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase VI on July 8, 2025.
The 32-year-old, known for her roles in the 2015 film Jalaibee and ARY’s reality show Tamasha Ghar, is believed to have passed away nearly a month prior, with authorities estimating her death occurred around mid-June 2025. The discovery has been compounded by the distressing revelation that her family has refused to claim her remains, leaving her body in cold storage at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
The Discovery of Humaira Asghar’s Body.
According to Gizri police, the discovery was prompted by a court-ordered eviction due to unpaid rent since early 2024. The landlord, accompanied by police, arrived at the Ittehad Commercial area flat around 3:15 PM after neighbors reported a foul smell and lack of activity for weeks. Upon receiving no response, officers broke into the locked apartment and found Humaira’s body in an advanced state of decomposition.
It has been confirmed by the South DIG Syed Asad Raza and Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed that initial investigations show there are no signs of forced entry or foul play, suggesting a possible natural death, though the exact cause awaits forensic and chemical analysis results.
