State Minister’s Visit Of Lyari Collapsed Building Site, Assures Support

On the special instructions of Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, State Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Kheil Das Kohistani visited the site of a collapsed building in Lyari. During the visit, he met with the affected families, conveyed the Prime Minister’s message of condolence, and assured them of all possible support.

Kohistani described the incident as a tragic event, emphasizing that his visit was not to serve any political purposes but that he was there solely as a representative of the Prime Minister. Accompanying him were Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nihal Hashmi and Federal Government Spokesperson Raja Ansari. The delegation inspected the site and obtained details of the incident from the local administration.

The affected families informed the state minister that some of their loved ones were still trapped under the debris, and they were holding onto hope for their survival. Addressing the media, Kohistani stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had expressed profound grief over the tragedy. He assured that the federal government would provide all possible assistance to the affected families and focus on institutional reforms to prevent such incidents in the future.

PML-N leader Nihal Hashmi reiterated the federal government’s commitment to supporting the victims and urged relevant authorities to arrange alternative accommodations for those affected. Federal Government Spokesperson Raja Ansari demanded a thorough, transparent, and impartial investigation into the incident to hold those responsible accountable.

PML-N leaders Khurram Abbas Bhatti, Asher Albert, Yaqoob Khokhar, Razaq Shajra, Babar Anwar, Raja Saeed, Tanveer Jadun, and Hakim Ansari were also present on the occasion.
