The University of Karachi (KU) has officially announced the commencement of admissions for a range of its advanced degree programs, including MPhil, ME, MS, LLM, MS (Surgery), and MD (Medicine). The process of admission was authorized during a meeting presided over by KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, underscoring the university’s drive toward higher studies and specialization.

Aspiring students are encouraged to apply for these prestigious programs from June 23, 2025, up to July 7, 2025. This period allows ample time for interested applicants to prepare and present their required documents.

Admission will be based on a comprehensive entry test. In order to ensure transparency and for timely information, the University of Karachi will release the list of candidates eligible to sit for this test on July 18, 2025, on its official website. This will allow applicants to verify their eligibility status well in advance.

After the announcement of the list of eligible candidates, admit cards will be made available for collection. Candidates can collect their admit cards from their respective centers, departments, or institutions between July 21 and July 23, 2025. This period is crucial for candidates to secure their admit cards, which are mandatory for appearing in the test.

The highly anticipated entry test will be conducted on Sunday, July 27, 2025. This test forms an essential part of the admission process and will be used to gauge the academic potential and aptitude of candidates for their preferred advanced degree programs.
